Vision for the future
The Strategic Planning Committee of JFS developed a strategic plan grounded in the agency’s historical success. The strategy is aligned with the JFS mission statement: Jewish Family Services of WNC enriches the lives of our clients by providing a broad array of clinical and social support services to adults of all faiths, with special emphasis on the needs of older adults.
In August 2020, the Committee conducted a needs survey in the community and identified which services various agencies in Asheville provide to adults. Based on this information, a market analysis, and an assessment of JFS’s capabilities, the Committee developed a strategic plan for each of the next three fiscal years starting in FY22.
