The JFS Community Chaplaincy program, led by Rabbi Wolff Alterman, focuses on providing direct spiritual care, comfort, and counseling to individuals who are ill, in crisis, or near the end of their lives—in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health institutions, correctional facilities, or at home.

Rabbi Wolff is available to you whether you are brand new to Asheville and haven’t found your religious home, have lived here for decades, or simply happen to be visiting when your crisis or need arises. If you or a loved one is receiving care through an institution that does not have a chaplain available, Rabbi Wolff is available for your religious and spiritual needs.

Virtual appointments with Rabbi Wolff are available.
